Product Description: ULTRANY® OAb-15µmBOPA Film for Retort Pouch
BOPA Film for Retort Pouch model ULTRANY OAb-15µm is a high-performance, both-side treated BOPA for lamination intended for the most challenging packaging configurations. Using two-step biaxial orientation technology, BOPA Film for Retort Pouch can function as a general-purpose adhesive substrate for flexible packaging to eliminate the risk of delamination. Dual-treated BOPA film as the core layer for the retort pouch will have a double-sided corona treatment and will enable super-strong bonding of functional layers. Due to BOPA Film for Retort Pouch's exceptional interlayer composite performance, BOPA Film for Retort Pouch is the foundation for developing complex 3-layer or 4-layer retort bags.
The thermal stability of BOPA Film for Retort Pouch also makes BOPA Film for Retort Pouch the best high-temperature resistant nylon film. BOPA Film for Retort Pouch will endure sterilisation up to 121 degrees Celsius and retain a very small thermal shrinkage rate of <2.0%. Therefore, film for ready-to-eat meal packaging will remain smooth, wrinkle-free and will not lose its dimensions after being cooked under high pressure. Additionally, due to the structural framework of the package, BOPA Film for Retort Pouch will possess high toughness and blast resistance as well as a 50 OTR oxygen barrier to protect the contents of the package from oxidative degradation throughout prolonged storage periods.
BOPA Film for Retort Pouch provides a broad scope of application versatility as a universal adhesive middle layer for numerous industries. BOPA Film for Retort Pouch was designed to bond with inert materials such as aluminium foil and, therefore, ensure barrier integrity in high-end military or aerospace food pouches. In addition to the broad application versatility, BOPA Film for Retort Pouch will be produced in quantities of 150,000 tons per year, thereby providing a consistent global supply of film for ready-to-eat meal packaging. Therefore, the effective use of BOPA Film for Retort Pouch will enhance the packaging integrity for products that range from highly acidic sauces to heavy industrial chemicals.
Case: Preservation of Deep-Sea Crab Meat
A renowned premium seafood manufacturer recently implemented the BOPA Film for Crab Stick Packaging model HOA1 for their high-end deep-sea crab meat line. Prior to the implementation of the BOPA Film for Crab Stick Packaging model HOA1, the manufacturer experienced delamination problems during the thawing process in retail chillers, resulting in moisture entry into the pack and product deterioration. The manufacturer realised permanent interlayer adhesion once they switched to this high-bond-strength film for multi-layer pouches. In addition, the puncture-resistant film for seafood snacks characteristics of the BOPA Film for Crab Stick Packaging resulted in an 18% reduction in packaging failure rates. Finally, the high-clarity surimi packaging film enabled the natural red and white colours of the crab meat to be displayed, thereby achieving a marked increase in retail sales.

Everything You Need to Know About ULTRANY® OAb-15µm BOPA Film OAb for Retort Packaging?

How does double-sided treatment improve the safety of retort pouches?
BOPA Film for Retort Pouch uses double-sided corona treatment as its primary advantage. Both sides of BOPA Film for Retort Pouch form a very strong bond with both the outer printing layer and the inner sealing layer, thus forming a dual-treated BOPA film as a core layer for retort pouch that completely eliminates delamination risks.

Does this film withstand the high pressures of industrial cooking?
Yes, BOPA Film for Retort Pouch is a high-temperature resistant nylon film that is developed for environments up to 121 degrees Celsius. Low thermal shrinkage of the film for ready-to-eat meal packaging ensures that the film for ready-to-eat meal packaging remains smooth and undamaged after the high-pressure cooking and sterilisation process.

Why is this film better for packaging aluminium foil structures?
Aluminium foil is very difficult to bond; however, the high-energy surface of BOPA Film for Retort Pouch creates a superior composite layer. This dual-treated bopa film as a core layer for a retort pouch eliminates delamination failures between the foil and other layers, which are common failures for single-sided treated films.

How does BOPA Film for Retort Pouch help in the medical field?
In medical packaging, BOPA Film for Retort Pouch serves as a two-sided treated BOPA for lamination that strongly binds with dialysis paper. The BOPA Film for Retort Pouch maintains a sterile barrier during ethylene oxide or gamma sterilisation and provides the high-temperature resistant nylon film properties that keep the medical device packaging intact.

What makes this film suitable for heavy industrial chemicals?
BOPA Film for Retort Pouch provides a skeleton of high strength and toughness. As a universal adhesive substrate for flexible packaging, BOPA Film for Retort Pouch creates an armour-like structure when bonded to chemical-resistant layers and allows large-capacity bags to withstand impact and resist erosion from lubricants or pesticides.
